Anova continues to evolve sous vide-style cooking with the launch of its Precision Cooker Base that allows its sous-vide unit to stand upright.
Individually designed to fit either the Anova Precision Cooker or Anova Precision Cooker Nano, home chefs are now able to choose between two base options to allow the device to stand upright without the use of a clamp.
Additionally, the new Precision Cooker Base also serves as a home for Anova’s sous vide units when not in use and can be easily placed in an out-of-the-way spot on the countertop.
The base can be easily attached to the bottom of the sous vide cooker by lining up the entry points and giving the base a quarter turn to the right.
The Precision Cooker Base is priced at $19.99.
Recently, Anova launched its Precision Reusable Silicone bag for sous vide cooking that provides an alternative to single-use plastic bags that have long been used by home cooks to make and store various foods.
The BPA-free bag provides an airtight seal that allows the consumer to easily remove air from the bag by hand and roll the top to close. The half-gallon bag can withstand temperatures from -40° Fahrenheit up to 446° Fahrenheit and is dishwasher safe, allowing it to be used over and over again.
