Best known for its selection of reusable food containers and on-the-go beverageware, Black+Blum has partnered with Prada to supply a selection of products to be featured alongside the Prada’s sustainable Re-Nylon collection.
Re-Nylon is a sustainable line of Prada products created using unique regenerated nylon, obtained through the recycling and purification process of plastic waste collected from oceans, fishing nets, landfills and textile fiber waste.
The launch of the program by Prada took place in Selfridges, London, as part of its Project Earth initiative, but is being rolled out globally in Prada’s stores, concessions and pop-ups beginning in mid-September.
The co-branded products from Black+Blum that Prada is featuring are the award-winning Stainless-Steel Lunch Box, the Stainless-Steel Sandwich Box, the Glass Lunch Bowl and the Stainless-Steel Cutlery Set.
“I am delighted that Prada not only recognizes and appreciates the design values of these Black+Blum products but also sees that their sustainable credentials make them great candidates to be sold alongside the Re-Nylon range from Prada,” said Dan Black, founder and lead designer at Black + Blum. “What Prada is doing with their Re-Nylon initiative is truly ground-breaking in the fashion world, and we are delighted to be associated with it in our own small way.”
