Kitchen Engine Expanding Classes, Product Selection

Gourmet housewares retailer The Kitchen Engine is giving its Spokane, Wash., store a tune-up that when completed will allow for enhanced interaction with its shoppers.

In an email blast to its customers, the retailer said its is constructing a new culinary class kitchen. The new kitchen format will allow the retailer, which has been in business since 2006, to expand its selection of hands-on classes and expand its schedule to different dayparts.

The new kitchen will also include state-of-the-art major appliances from Thermador.


The expansion will also include a full cafe offering espresso, pour-over coffee, cold brew, wine and other beverages. The retailer will also be offering a light lunch menu, pastries, cookies and other snacks. 

Additionally, The Kitchen Engine will also be expanding its product selection. The cutlery area will be the largest addition with selections of knives, cutting surfaces, sharpening accessories and knife storage. 

Other product categories including kitchen tools and gadgets, barbecue items and products related to home entertaining will also be expanded.
