Lodge Special Pan Celebrating Women’s Suffrage Sells Out

Lodge's Rosie the Riveter cast iron skillet.

In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the 19th amendment’s ratification, cookware supplier Lodge offered a Rosie the Riveter polished cast iron skillet.

But in just minutes, the limited edition item of which only 100 were produced and priced at $100 each, sold out.

Kitchenware Today’s email inbox received Lodge’s email alert at 11:01 a.m. EDT Tuesday, August 18, announcing the special promotion. Less than 30 minutes later, a second email arrived stating the inventory of polished cast iron skillets were gone.

But fear not Lodge fans. The company said its Rosie the Riveter 10.25 inch cast iron skillet (non-polished) is still available for $19.20.

The pan is the latest design in Lodge’s Made in America series and will be available for only one year. Featuring both an assist handle and an easy-grip handle for great control and hanging storage when not in use, this skillet is crafted to cook memorable meals for generations. It is also seasoned and ready to use.
