Nordstrom shoppers looking to update their home kitchenware now have new products under the Five Two by Food52 brand from which to choose.
“We love good food and know you do too — that’s why we’re bringing Food52’s cult-favorite collection of cookware, dishware and kitchen essentials to Nordstrom,” the retailer wrote on its website.
Founded in 2009 Food52 is a web-based outlet that offers thousands of test kitchen-approved recipes and its “The Shop” offers an array of kitchenware from across a host of categories.
A review on the assortment online shows the Five Two assortment touching several key kitchenware product segments including cookware, dinnerware, cutlery, linens and kitchen tools.
Here’s a look at select products in the new Five Two line:
The cookware features a V-shape at the base that allows air to circulate, while the textured stonewashed finish and gentle curvature offer a comfortable feel. The nonstick pieces are finished with a diamond-infused ceramic coating made from sand.
Priced at $429, the set includes a 10-inch ceramic skillet with pan protector, a 12-inch ceramic skillet with tempered glass straining lid and pan protector, a 12-inch stainless steel skillet with tempered glass straining lid, 4-quart sauté pan with tempered glass straining lid, a 2.7-quart saucepan with tempered glass straining lid and 6-quart stockpot with tempered glass straining lid.
Each knife is made of Japanese steel that is carbon infused to maintain a sharp edge that does not easily rust. Polymer handles keep the knives lighter and easier to work with and are offered in several colors including nordic sea, rhubarb and smoked salt. The set includes a chef’s knife, serrated knife and paring knife and is priced at $139.
Offering a minimalist design, the dinner plates have a semi-shiny glaze that resists scratches and offers a durable antichip design. The stoneware plates are crafted with a handmade mold and have a subtle texture in the finish. Dishwasher safe, the set is priced at $79.
