Looking for some tips to give your dining room table a fresh look? Pottery Barn’s Head of Product Design and Development Monica Bhargava shares the dinnerware favorites on her shopping list, which may provide some inspiration for you.
Leading the way on Bhargava’s list is the new Mason Collection that features square and round-shaped stoneware dinnerware in several colors; wheat, ivory, blue, graphite gray, charcoal and red.
“I’ve been using the Mason Dinnerware Collection with family every day now and I’m excited to add the Mason Wood Serving Trays,” she said.
Pottery Barn’s Mason Collection features a subtle reactive glass that offers an artisanal look and a stone-smooth feel. Each piece is unique, with variations in coloring and speckling to be expected.
A 16-piece set includes 4 dinner plates, 4 salad plates, 4 individual bowls and 4 mugs. All items are dishwasher safe.
The Mason Wood Serving Trays are shaped from mango wood and designed to pair with Mason Dinnerware. Offered in a black finish, each tray’s frame is made of mango wood with the base made from mango veneer.
Additionally, the collection is manufactured at a Fair Trade Certified factory to ensure fair and safe labor practices, improved livelihoods and to ensure that workers are empowered to invest in their communities. Pottery Bars pays into a Community Development Fund for every Fair Trade Certified product sold so that a worker committee can collectively invest in projects of their choice.
Bhargava is also a fan of Pottery Barn’s Mendocino Collection, which is offered in three colors; ivory, mineral blue and onyx black.
“I already have a few pieces from the Mendocino Collection in ivory but love how the onyx punctuates,” she said.
Inspired by Japanese-style reactive glazes and rustic ceramic silhouettes, each piece in the Pottery Barn collection is made in Portugal. Made of stoneware with a matte glaze finish all products in the line are dishwasher safe.
