Recall Issued For Silvercrest Breadmakers Sold At Lidl

Breadmakers have seen a resurgence in recent months as a growing number of consumers have used their additional time at home to enjoy fresh-baked bread.

But those who purchased a breadmaker at discount grocer Lidl over the past two years should check their unit to see if it is part of a recall issued by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

A selection of Silvercrest brand breadmakers sold at Lidl stores in Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, Georgia, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York and online at from March 2018 through May 202o are included in the recall. The breadmakers carry a retail price ranging from $24 to $70.


According to the CPSC, the breadmaker’s lid can become energized, posing an electric shock hazard. Consumers should immediately unplug and stop using the unit and return it to their local Lidl store for a full refund.
