Report: Target Eying New Manhattan Location

Target will soon open a new location in Manhattan.

At a time when some retailers are struggling and some have filed for bankruptcy, Target is eying further growth in New York City.

The New York Post reported that Target has signed a lease for a 44,000-square foot store as part of a development project on 125th street in Harlem.

A spokesperson for the Minneapolis-based retailer confirmed the new store saying the location will be tailored to serve local guests.

The retailer currently operates several locations in Manhattan including Herald Square across from Macy’s flagship store, the East Village, the Lower East Side, Tribeca and Upper East Side.
