Kitchen electrics supplier Smeg is expanding its lineup of beverage appliances with the launch of a new coffeemaker and an electric kettle.
The new Fully-Automatic Coffee Machine and Mini Electric Kettle are being launched at a time when many Americans continue to invest in their home while also using their houses as their satellite office space.
“As we see consumers continue to spend more time at home, we’re thrilled to offer additional innovations to help make their morning routines, mid-day coffee breaks, and nightcaps even more functional and stylish,” said Wayne Ackerson, national sales manager at Smeg.
Smeg’s new Coffee Machine is equipped with a stainless steel burr grinder and thermoblock heating system with 19-bar pressure. The unit is able to brew a multitude of hot beverages ranging from a tea infusion to an extra-strong ristretto.
Offered in basic and medium models, the medium version features a steam wand attachment for milk frothing that can be used when making lattes, cappuccino and other beverages.
Both versions are available at Williams Sonoma, offered in matte black, white, taupe and red, and are priced at $799.95 and $899.95.
Smeg’s Electric Kettle features an anti-slip 360° base, a double-wall structure with a stainless steel lining, an internal water level indicator and an anti-drip spout.
With 1,400 watts of power and a capacity of .8 liters, the Mini Kettle minimizes water waste while moderating energy consumption and is ideal for preparing up to three cups at-a-time.
As compared to Smeg’s standard Electric Kettle, the Mini Kettle stands nearly 2 inches shorter and is 2 pounds lighter. The kettle features a chrome base and stainless steel spout and controls with a “pop” soul reflected in a variety of available colors including white, black, cream, pastel blue, pastel green, pink and red.
The Mini Kettle is currently available at Williams Sonoma and retails for $134.95.
