Sophistiplate, known for its assortment of fashionable, single-use home entertaining products, is expanding its product line with the acquisition of Maple Leaf at Home.
Based in Carrollton, Tex., Maple Leaf at Home features a broad range of custom-engravable tabletop products including serving boards, cheeseboards and glassware that are manufactured in the United States.
“The addition of the Maple Leaf at Home assortment as a complement to our product portfolio is an exciting next step in Sophistiplate’s growth,” said Daniel Seehoff, founder and CEO of Sophistiplate. “By bringing single-use and premium reusable products to the same table, we broaden our assortment while staying true to our mission – to bring people of all walks of life together at the same table to break bread.”
Maple Leaf at Home was founded in 2010 by Pam Vincent after she recognized a void in the market for high-quality, personalized gifts. Starting in her garage where she personally designed and engraved personalized cutting boards that were sold in her store in Texas, Vincent would later launch a wholesale business. Her husband, Scott, would join the company in 2011.
“We are delighted with our sale to Sophistiplate,” said Pam Vincent. “They are a perfect fit for our brand given their love, dedication and passion for elegant entertaining with unique and gorgeous product.”
