Sur La Table is bringing a key feature of its stores, cooking classes, to the homes of consumers with a new series of online classes.
In a promotional email sent to consumers, the kitchenware specialty retailer is rolling out new classes scheduled for mid to late July. The five offerings include Greek Night, Chicken Dinner, Steak Night, Baja Taco and Chinese Takeout.
Priced at $29 each, the classes are available at a multitude of times and dates.
The classes will be taught by Ed Kernan and Meredith Abbott.
In more than 13 years with Sur La Table, Kernan has taught more than 2,000 classes and private events. Abbott has worn many hats including those of pastry chef, food truck operator, private-school chef farmhand, corporate executive chef and Sur La Table cooking class content manager.
Each class will last between 90 minutes to 120 minutes in a password-protected Zoom session. Attendees will be permitted to ask questions as needed. Prior to each class, participants will need to download a prep packet that will include a shopping list and quickstart instruction.
